Westview-Fairforest Fire Department is searching for FULL-TIME Firefighters/NREMT- Basics for our fast growing department.  These positions respond to emergencies including fire suppression and emergency medical response calls.  The positions will work a 24 shift and additionally can work some limited PRN overtime.

Qualifications for these positions are:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Valid SC Class E (or equivalent) with insurable record
• High School Diploma or GED
• IFSAC Firefighter II
• Haz-Mat Operations (minimum)
• Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training (SCFA)
• Pump Operations I (SCFA) (preferred)
• Current NREMT-B Certification (preferred, or able to receive certification in 1 year)
• Current CPR Certification
• 2 years Firefighting Experience
• Ability to work 24 hours on and 48 hours off rotation shift

Candidates must successfully pass a Physical, Drug Screen and SLED Background Check after the time of offer.

Salary:  We offer a competitive salary with full company-paid benefits, which include paid SC State PEBA health insurance, dental and dental plus insurance, vision, and a $40K life insurance for employees, $20K for spouse, and $15K for dependent children.  Benefits also include PORS or SCRS Retirement, and short and long-term disability coverage for all employees.  We also offer paid vacation and sick pay.
