Looking for a part-time position with a busy fire department – Westview-Fairforest Fire Department is hiring Part-Time Firefighters/EMT- B (preferred).  These positions respond to emergencies including fire suppression and emergency medical response calls.  Positions can work a Permanent Part-Time Schedule, a 24 shift, split, or PRN.

Qualifications for these positions are:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid SC Class E (or equivalent) with insurable record
• High School Diploma or GED
• IFSAC Firefighter II
• Haz-Mat Operations (minimum)
• Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training (SCFA)
• Pump Operations I (SCFA) (preferred)
• Current NREMT-B Certification (minimum)
• Current CPR Certification
• 2 years Firefighting Experience
• Capability to work 24 hours on and 48 hours off rotation shift

Candidates must successfully pass a Physical, Drug Screen and SLED Background Check after the time of offer.

Salary:  $11 per hour for 24 hours or hours worked each shift.  While there are no Benefits with part-time – however, we do offer Holiday pay at time and one half an hour for part-time employees who work holidays per our policy schedule.
