WFFD is searching for qualified part-time firefighters / EMT-B (preferred) to respond to emergencies including fire suppression and emergency medical response calls.  These positions will work a 24 hour shift (paid for the 24 hours).  We also have an opening for a Shift Assigned Part-Time Firefighter /EMT-B (preferred), who works one week on then one week off their assigned shift, but can pick up additional shifts.

Qualifications for Part-Time Positions are:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid SC Class E License with insurable record
• High School Diploma or GED
• IFSAC Firefighter II
• Haz-Mat Operations (minimum preferred)
• EVDT (SCFA)
• Pump Ops I (SCFA) (preferred)
• Current NREMT-B (minimum preferred)
• Current CPR Certification
• 2 Years Miniums Firefighting Experience
• Able to work Assigned 24 hour on/48 hour off shift rotations

Candidates must successfully pass a Physical, Drug Screen and Background Check after a job offer is made.

Part-Time Salary is $11/hour for 24 hours or hours worked each shift.  WFFD pays time and a half for employees who work holiday per our policy schedule.
