With Summer and hot weather just around the corner, we wanted to share some safety tips to remember from the National Safety Council and SafeKid.org for when you are enjoying this great weather and the outdoors! Many tips are easy to remember like:
- Keep cool – stay indoors when the weather is extremely hot
- Wear light and loose-fitting clothing
- STAY HYDRATED – keep drinking water with you especially if you are going to be outdoors
- Keep up with the weather forecast to make sure you don’t get caught in a dangerous thunderstorm
- NEVER EVER leave a baby or child in a car! They need special care during the hot weather because they are less able to cope with temperature changes.
- Around water, be sure an adult is always watching children, make sure they are never left unattended.
- Never us alcohol when boating, and always use your life jackets
- Check in on family member and the elderly. Make sure they are ok in the Summer!
