Westview Elementary School and Westview-Fairforest Fire Department participated in the National Walk to School Day on October 7th. Many other School District 6 organizations also participated such as the Blue Belles, Football Players and coaches. Even the Chick-Fil-A Cow was there to show support!
Walk to School Day began in 1997 as a one-day that builds awareness for the need for walkable communities. Thousands of schools across America and in more than 40 countries worldwide celebrate walking to school every October.
