The Carolina Brotherhood Cyclist and Volunteers made a stop at WFFD on Tuesday, July 26th to take a break to refuel. The 2016 ride honors all fallen Brothers and Sisters from Police, Fire and Emergency Services from the 1900’s to 2014.
The Carolina Brotherhood is a group of members who’s mission is to provide emotional and financial support to those who lost a family member in the line of duty in the Carolina’s, whether it be a police officer, firefighter or emergency personnel. The cycling group is comprised entirely of police officers, firefighters and emergency personnel who helps build awareness and appreciation of the sacrifice these extraordinary people have made in the line of duty and to honor their memory.
Since 2012 they have continued to raise funds that go directly towards helping these families, which also includes Kellen Fleming, who died in the line of duty from WFFD in 2014.
