Westview-Fairforest Fire Department would like to wish everyone a Safe and Happy July 4th Holiday.
On July 4, 1776, the 13 colonies claimed their independence from England, an event that eventually led to the formation of the United States. Each year on the fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic event.
We also honor our fallen and serving soldiers; soldiers have fought in the past and many more are still fighting for our country, lives, and freedom so that we can all live in peace.
Many people celebrate with cookouts, family gatherings, and Fireworks. Please remember to leave the fireworks to the professionals. Every year many children and adults spend their day in the ER due to burns they received from using fireworks unsafely.
The link below has some tips to use while using fireworks.

We want to thank our A-Shift and the many other Fire, EMS, Police, and military that will be working this holiday and cannot celebrate with their families. Thank you for continuing to keep us safe!
Please be safe and have a Happy 4th of July Holiday.
