Meet Assistant Chief Tracy Williams who has been with our department since January 1, 1987. In the video below Tracy talks about his 2009 fight with cancer, stage 3A melanoma. He won his battle, which was hard fought. Firefighters have a 29% higher rate than the general public to get cancer than the general public. 60% of all firefighter deaths are related to cancer. We at WFFD are doing our part to spread awareness and help our firefighters.
