Westview-Fairforest Fire Department is searching for Part-Time Dedicated Shift and PRN (as needed) Firefighter/EMT-B and EMR (Emergency Med. Responders).  These positions respond to emergencies including fire suppression and emergency medical response calls. The Part-Time Shift Dedicated Shift positions work 24 hours on a bi-weekly rotating schedule.  The PRN Part-Time openings work a 24 shift on an as needed/call-in (PRN) schedule.

Qualifications for these positions are:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Valid SC Class E (or equivalent) Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or GED
• IFSAC Firefighter II
• NREMT-Basic or EMR 
• Haz-Mat Operations (minimum)
• Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training (SCFA)
• Pump Operations I (SCFA) (preferred)
• Current NREMT-B Certification (minimum)
• 2 years Firefighting Experience
• Works 24 hour on and 48 hours off rotation shift

Candidates must be able to successfully pass the following after the job offer is made: Pre-Employment Physical, Pre-Employment Drug Screening, SLED Background Check

Salary:  $11 per hour for 24 hours or hours worked each shift

No Benefits with part-time – however, we do offer Holiday pay at time and one half an hour for part-time employees who work holidays per our policy schedule.
